Who are we?

HAPPY LIFE is a surf school highly specialized in surf teaching.

Surfing is a magic sport that is now affordable to a large variety of people


The crew is composed of highschool sports teacher that have swimming and surfing diploma.


We love teaching: that’s our job, our mission, our pleasure.
So do we for surfing and sports activities in general !


We have been into surfing since ages and that will never change!
From teaching basic lessons for newcomers to developing special skills for advanced surfers,


HAPPY LIFE has been in the water escorting many people these last 15 years on Bidart beaches.


Come and see us, we will help you to understand, use and develop the main rules and
behaviors to succeed in surfing in a safe environment thanks to our experience and
professional rigour.

How does unfold a session with
HAPPY LIFE ?

A 5 steps approach allow us to be complete and precise in the act of teaching surfing

  1. Synthesis of the day conditions:
    Tides, orientation of the wind, size of the waves and issues of the day most of the paramaters are discussed to help you to understand the logic of our sport
  2. Full Warm up:
    In order to prepare the body to the effort and avoid injuries, you will move in different direction, speed and range of motion.
  3. Definition of individuals goals:
    Learn how to stand up in an efficient way, to choose a direction in a clear wave, enhance
    your paddling… you will receive some personal advices that will make the session a time for improvement.
  4. The session itself:
    Time for action and sensations! Let’s go in the water under the surveillance and assistance of a full dedicated instructor.
  5. The after session
    After the surf you will be able to share your feelings with the group and exchange few tips that will help you for the next session. Enjoy a simple moment of camaraderie after plenty of action.

Route

Meeting point for the surf class :

Uhabia beach is located at the south of bidart right before the tiny village of Guethary that
host the great wave of Parlementia.
The gps cordinates are available. You can also clik on the map to visualize where the school is.
Make sure you come 20 minutes before your class is scheduled so you will have more time in the water.
